. . . an artist who’s been creating since childhood. My early art often left my mother exasperated and my engineer-father perplexed.

One standout memory is the annual Elk's Club Father-Daughter Dance in Lewiston, Idaho. My dad, despite being more comfortable with construction than ballroom steps, always made time for it. I vividly recall picking a canary yellow polka-dotted dress with a giant lace collar at Bon Marche. Though hideous by today’s standards, it was a bold fashion statement back then. The sales clerk exclaimed, "Congratulations, Mr. Willard, your daughter just picked our most expensive dress on the rack!"

While none of us could appreciate my style sense at 9 years old, today I channel that inner voice to create fun work that celebrates bold, graphic designs with a dash of quirk to keep it fresh, just like the yellow polka-dotted dress.

Let’s make happy art!
